We are seeking a Senior PHP/Laravel Developer.  This is a 6-month+ contract to hire, remote opportunity to provide development services to our direct client in the healthcare industry.  No sponsorship is available.

Backend – PHP

• Laravel 8.x - RESTful API
• Testing Framework - PHPUnit & Laravel Dusk

Database – PostgreSQL

• Writing raw SQL queries
• Designing relational databases

DevOps – AWS

• Serverless infrastructure
• AWS Services – Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, S3, EC2, IAM, CloudFront
• Security & Compliance best practices & techniques
  o HIPAA Compliance

• 5+ years of software development experience of web-based applications. The desire
  to learn while perfecting your craft of designing, building, and maintaining enterprise
• Deep understanding, knowledge and/or experience with most if not all of the following:
  o Test Driven Development (TDD) - preferably using Jest and PHPUnit
  o Modern Web Languages - HTML, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript/ECMAScript 2015+ (ES6+)
  o MVC frameworks - Laravel
  o PHP - all common language features for versions PHP 7.x & 8.x
  o Laravel - All features including queues, broadcasting/web sockets (Laravel Echo), Active Record (Eloquent), middleware, service providers, database migrations, etc.
  o RESTful APIs
  o API (session-less) authentication - OAuth, JSON Web Tokens, etc
  o Commonly used software design patterns and principles - SOLID, DRY, etc
  o Relational databases, design & best practices - MySQL, PostgreSQL or SQL Server
  o Software development lifecycle - Agile & SCRUM
  o Web Servers - Nginx, Apache, etc
  o Linux Environments - Ubuntu, CentOS, etc.
  o AWS Services - Lambda, API Gateway, SQS, S3, EC2, IAM, CloudFront, etc.
• Experienced using Test Driven Development (TDD) to produce high-quality, clean code.
• Proficient with SQL and relational database concepts.
• Highly motivated self-starter with strong attention to detail and proven ability to prioritize and scope work.
• Excellent logic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Flexibility to handle demands of a rapidly growing and changing workplace.
