Keller Schroeder is seeking a mid- to senior-level Network Security Engineer to join our rapidly growing Information Security team. This role is crucial in helping clients defend and protect their environments by deploying, configuring, managing, and monitoring modern firewall solutions across Keller Schroeder and customer environments. Responsibilities include monitoring and responding to security events, processing adds, moves, and changes, and supporting security operations. This role will also contribute to project-based initiatives focused on the implementation and ongoing maintenance of security tools and processes to strengthen and sustain overall security posture. Keller Schroeder is unable to provide sponsorship at this time. 

Responsibilities: 

• Manage and support network security services for multiple client environments 
• Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot network security alerts, events, and service tickets 
• Assist with designing, building, and managing network security solutions 
• Research/evaluate emerging cyber security threats and ways to manage them 
• Deploy and maintain endpoint protection, network security, and other security products 
• Offer pre-sales and post-sales security consulting services to both internal and external clients 
• Identify security gaps and recommend improvements to network and perimeter defenses 
• Support incident response activities related to network-based security events 
• Document configurations, troubleshooting steps, and standard operating procedures 
• Provide strategic guidance to InfoSec senior leadership and management regarding latest firewall technologies, solutions, and best practices 
• Build trusted relationships with clients and communicate technical issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders 
• Cultivate partner relationships with firewall and security vendors 

• 3-5 years’ experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and documenting network security infrastructures and related systems 
• Hands-on experience with one or more of the following Next-Gen firewalls: Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco 
• Passion for cybersecurity and desire to help businesses defend against cyber-attacks. 
• Be proactive, reliable, self-accountable, and able to work independently without direct supervision 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
• Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills 
• On-site work may be required in Southwestern Indiana, Southern Illinois, Western Kentucky, and Middle Tennessee regions. 

Preferred: 

• Associate degree in Information Technology, Information Security/Cyber Security, or related degree, or equivalent work experience 
• Certifications including, but not limited to:
  • CompTIA (Security+, Network+, CySA+) 
  • Palo Alto (PCNSA, PCNSE, etc)
  • Cisco (CCNA, CCNP)
• Experience with any of the following:
  • Network security products (NGFW, IPS/IDS, XDR, etc) 
  • Endpoint protection/endpoint detection and response products (EDR)  
  • Cloud infrastructure and security (Microsoft Azure) 
  • Identity and access management (IAM) and multi-factor authentication (MFA)  
  • Vulnerability and patch management 
  • Security information and event management (SIEM) 
  • Scripting (Python, PowerShell, bash)
• Located in Southwestern Indiana, Western KY, or Nashville, TN areas
