We are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer to help our direct client.  This is a hybrid position being onsite 3 days per week.  Must live within 50 miles of Baltimore, MD. 

Responsibilities:

• Manages and maintains distributed systems.
• Conversant in many technologies and languages, able to learn new technologies quickly.
• Proactively applies industry leading technology trends, best practices, design principles and patterns, and methods including Agile software development, iterative delivery, and cloud computing.
• Uses critical thinking to reach conclusions and analytical thinking for problem solving in support of achieving desired outcomes.
• Applies enthusiasm for continuous learning to improve results and shares with others.
• This position involves progressively more experience and accountability for influencing important technical decisions and supporting their implementation.

• 10+ years in software engineering, with a focus on frontend development and system architecture.
• Proficiency in Angular, JavaScript, Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, AWS, and Kubernetes.
• Proven track record in migrating and modernizing legacy systems to cloud-native architectures.
• Experience with loan acquisition platforms, lead generation, and customer acquisition strategies.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in guiding teams through complex technical challenges.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Desired Skills:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar credentials.
• Experience with Docker and container orchestration using Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment processes.
• Experience working in Agile development environments.
