Keller Schroeder, an information technology firm in Evansville, IN is seeking a remote IT Financial Analyst to assist our direct client located in Evansville, IN.  This is a one-year, full-time contract position with the option for hire at the end of the contract period.  This individual will oversee budget and finance for projects within the IT department.  Our client will be unable to provide sponsorship after the contract period.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee finance and budget responsibilities for the IT department projects and M&A activities
• Prepare reporting and financial analysis for IT management including explanations of variances to forecast, plan, and prior periods and other ad hoc analysis, as requested
• Prepare and present timely periodic financial statements summarizing project financial status
• Track and manage resources and costs in the capital and expense budget and forecasts for assigned areas, including both operational and project spend
• Consolidate financials for IT organization, providing monthly updates to IT management
• Review project invoice coding and validate against budgets and forecasts
• Utilize financial systems and PPM tool to research and reconcile financial and resource allocation discrepancies
• Track risk and opportunities and communicate updates to management

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Expertise in accounting principles with extensive understanding of establishing, documenting, and tracking budgets
• Demonstrated knowledge of capital and expense budgeting, forecasting and monthly accruals
• Experience preparing, developing, writing, or editing financial reports with narrative content and tables, illustrations, graphs, and diagrams appropriate to improve understanding, clarity, and audience engagement
• Effective communication, organization, and time management skills
• Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills
