Keller Schroeder, an information technology firm in Evansville, IN is seeking an IT Director to assist our direct client located in Madisonville, KY.  This contract position will be effective through 2023.  This individual's principal goals are to plan, coordinate, direct, and design all operational activities of the IT department.  The Director of IT will work closely with decision-makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Information Technology/Telecommunications Department and maintain budget compliance
  • Manage IT department operational and strategic planning, including business requirements, project planning, and organizing and negotiating the allocation of resources
  • Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, and resource allocation to executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users
  • Review performance of IT systems to determine operating costs, productivity levels, and upgrade requirements
  • Benchmark, analyze, report on, and make recommendations for the improvement of the IT infrastructure and IT systems
  • Authorize and oversee the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, and support of all hardware and software based on department needs
  • Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives
  • Oversee provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
  • Establish and maintain regular written and in-person communications with the organization's executives, department heads, and end users regarding pertinent IT activities
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in managing an Information Technology Department in an integrated environment
  • Proven ability to manage all phases of a variety of systems projects, using sound judgment and prioritization
  • Demonstrated ability to establish processes to understand the needs of the users and to provide mechanisms for responding to those needs
  • Strong knowledge of administrative principles, practices, and methods including goal setting, program and budget development and implementation; leadership and techniques of effective supervision, work planning and organization
  • Knowledge of management principals and techniques, administrative practices including budget and fiscal controls
  • Oversee data security, management, and governance
  • Manage strategic vendor and technology partner relationships
  • Make infrastructure decisions, ensuring technical excellence, versatility, safety and soundness, resiliency and scalability in the architecting and engineering of product solutions, as well as managing all technical delivery
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and strategic thinking abilities with a problem-solving aptitude
  • Ability to track and identify new technologies to solve complex business issues
  • Ability to work effectively within a budget and adhere to deadlines
  • Ability to work onsite in Madisonville, KY
