We are seeking a Sr SAP FICO Business Analyst for a 6-month contract to hire opportunity with our direct client in Jasper, IN.  Sponsorship is available for this remote position. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing business applications and data solutions using SAP FICO.  Some travel to the client site is required about once per quarter.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Understand, communicate, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements that fulfill the needs of the Business.
  • Assumes ownership in facilitating and organizing process improvement sessions with users
  • Research, recommend, and implement business best practices and related technology trends.
  • Develop the conceptual design on process enhancement opportunities.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recommend efficient approaches that meet the needs of the Business.
  • Understand, communicate, and document detailed designs and functional specifications.
  • Lead, coach and direct the work of others when necessary.
  • Mentor Business Analysts on complex projects and production support.
  • Analyze and map information and processes, both current and future states, in Business Application Solutions.
  • Design, review, and document test cases that prove business scenarios for desired functionality.
  • Configure applications to support functional specifications and detailed designs.
  • Provide Quality Testing of applications throughout each phase of a project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with Business Subject Matter Experts to identify and document business training materials for business solutions.
  • Collaborate with the Business to conduct end user training for business solutions.
  • Issue resolution of business application solutions.
  • Identify risk and mitigation throughout each phase of the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain security roles within Business Application Solutions.
  • Report status and issues to the Project Manager(s).
  • Continue to develop cross functional business, application, and technical skill sets.
  • Support vision and guiding principles of the client and the goals of the Business Units determining effort and tracking progress.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical and creative.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Finance, or another related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in SAP Finance (FI) support; will consider someone with less experience for a junior role.
  • Hands-on experience in SAP FI design, configuration, and testing.
  • Experience in Financial Accounting modules, GL, FA, AR, AP and Controlling modules.
